'Pore'

'Pore' is a work in progress which concentrates mainly on the attempt to depict expression; subjects are often repeated in an effort to explore and extract the minutiae and ever-changing nature of expression both in the facial features which result, and in the marks made by the hand; 'likeness'
is secondary to expression and process.

I am currently working towards putting the work together as several large composite pieces to make an installation; my aim is to include around fifty of the heads at a time, within one piece of work, in the hope of achieving an emotional resonance between the work and the viewer.

The work in progress will be exhibited in stages - at the time of writing this in February 09, the projected shows will be in York, Nottingham and Grimsby - with more dates to follow. See the blog for details of dates as they are confirmed.
